[BitBucket user: Alain Mazy] [BitBucket date: 2017-11-08.17:50:38] I'm not sure to understand where this screen capture comes from ! Could you attach the last log file from `C:\Program Files (x86)\Orthanc Server\Logs` ? |

[BitBucket user: Stefan Schiele] [BitBucket date: 2017-11-09.09:39:36] If you give permission to let the Orthanc service interact with the desktop you can observe this message. The log file points to the problem: If you create a backup copy of the configuration file "orthanc.json" in the same directory the Orthanc service refuses to start. Anyway, thanks for your advise ! [BitBucket user: Alain Mazy] [BitBucket date: 2017-11-09.09:43:28] so what happens if you rename orig_orthanc.json into orig_orthanc.json_ (so it's not loaded). Do you still have problems ? |

[BitBucket user: Stefan Schiele] [BitBucket date: 2017-11-09.10:12:03] When I change the file extension to ".json_" the service starts normally. Side note: under Windows it's not good practise to put configuration data in the program files folder. Please consider to move this to suggested places, f.e.: C:\ProgramData\<Vendor>\ -> Storage location for application data that is to be shared between all users on that computer. C:\Users\<username>\AppData\ -> Storage location for per-user application data that is exclusive to a user and should not be shared with any other user on that computer. |

[BitBucket user: Alain Mazy] [BitBucket date: 2017-11-09.10:41:10] noted for the storage location. Closing the issue since the logs display an error message with the reason of the failure. |
